“For me, choosing a hairstylist depends on a few prerequisites; talent, skill and customer service. Colleen Wagner fulfilled the criteria and so much more. She’s personable and adaptable to her clientele, which makes her company delightful. She’s also an educator and gives superb advice on my hair.  La Chaise Rouge is a chic atmosphere, warm blue walls with black trim and the red velvet couch next to the entry that completes a picture and feeling of a chaise lounge. The space is open and roomy.

Upon arrival, Colleen offers up a glass of wine, tea or water and stays sensitive to my need, or lack thereof, for conversation. The wireless internet is the icing on the cake. I have to drive over an hour for an appointment with her and one day I didn’t get a chance to eat before my appointment. Colleen called in a food order for me, then went down the street to pick it up while I was getting my hair colored.

Colleen is receptive to my endless questions about my hair and I’ve learned more than I could ask for over the past 6 months. She’s addressed everything from hair color to how I keep the ends from frizzing as my hair gets longer. I go for the keratin smoothing treatments and she’s been very helpful in keeping it maintained. She recommended a product that leaves my hair shiny and silky-soft. I completely trust her recommendations on the style and color of my hair.

La Chaise Rouge may be a little more expensive than other salons, but well worth the money for the 20+ years Colleen has been a stylist and for me to relax and leave my “hair in her hands”” – Heather M.
